Finding and Opening Documents
1. Using the tools in the Open dialog box to navigate through the drives and folders on your system.
2. Searching for a file when you can't remember its name or where it is located.
3. Organizing your files into folders so you can locate them later.
4. Learning how to move, copy, rename, and delete files within the file management dialog boxes.
5.Converting files from different formats so you can work with documents created in other programs
One of the fundamental advantages of using a word processing program is the ability to leverage the time you spend creating one document when it's time to create another. Let me give you an example. Suppose you send out a company memo several times a week. Instead of creating a new memo each time, you probably open an existing memo, make some changes to it, and save it as a new memo. Rather than spend 30 minutes or more creating a memo from scratch, you spend only a few minutes filling in the current information.
